Calveen’s Birthday!!!

Saturday Oct 18, 2008

Yesterday is Art Calveen’s birthday, my ate weng’s youngest son. He is now living with his family in UK. I’m happy to say that he is a very behaved kid that will soon be turning to a teen a few years from now. He looks a lot like my youngest son Daniel! I’ve always treated him as my own just like my other nephews and niece. Though he is a shy boy my sister ate weng tells me that he is such a lovable (malambing) son especially to his mother like any other boys.

Calveen, I hope that you will continue to love and help your parents and siblings there in UK and to get in touch with your lolo and lolas in the the Philippines. We miss you so much. God bless you In Jesus Mighty Name.

Belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!! :)

Life on Earth is Temporary

Saturday Oct 18, 2008

This answers some of the questions in my mind. Why do I experience or feel rejection at some point in my life? That is because God wants us to realize that life here on earth is just temporary. That we should not be very attached with our earthly riches. That there is far more important things in the life ahead of us. There are things that we long for in life and why is it that there are times when we are not able to accomplish them? There are things that we want to happen and we get disappointed. Our joy is never felt if we do things that will just satisfy  our physical beings. Material things or earthly things satisfy our needs at a limited time. We tend to forget that if we focus our attention to the will of God we will be able to reach our true home, to our Father’s home which is Heaven. So why spend so much time agonizing on things that make us sad. We should realize that our time on earth is very short and that we should make use of this time and opportunity to start focusing our attention on how we will be able to go to our True Home where life is eternal and where we will be able to experience never ending joy with God our Father. Let us live our lives glorifying God in everyway we can and serve Him with all our hearts.

In all of the contests we join, there will always be one winner, but if we will be  able to reach our Father’s Home (Heaven), we will experience extreme and eternal joy and we will be winners for we will have eternal life with God.

2Corinthians  4:18 “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

Lord God, help us to realize that the things here on earth are just temporary. That there are far more beautiful  things in heaven. And that we should not waste our time on things that are not important. I want to spend eternal life with you Father. Lead me the way to your home which is heaven. Thank You Lord.Amen.”

Charice Pempengco

Monday Oct 13, 2008

I am happy to say that Charice Pempengco is really making it big abroad with all the famous singers that she performed with. I hope that someday she will also use this talent that God has entrusted to her by singing Christian songs like Gary Valenciano does. I truly hope to have a voice just like hers but I’m also happy with what God has given me. May God continue to guide this young lady from the Philippines. Praise God for her talent and the goodness of God in her life.

Life is a Test and a Trust

Monday Oct 13, 2008

Life is a Test because in every circumstances in our lives we experience things that test our endurance and patience. Do we respond in a positive or negative way. The way we talk, the way we respond to things, even the small ones show how well we respond to them. Are we responding to them in a positive way or we easily get mad. Surely I can say that we always need to be reminded of these things to be in line with God. The words of God always reminds us what attitude we should have in facing some trials in our lives or some circumstances in our lives. When some people ask favor from us do we do it with joy? When somebody ask for something from us are we willing to give with a happy heart? When our kids ask for something or for our attention do we get mad or are we happy to attend their needs. This simply means that our lives are not worthless. Each one of us is very important in the eyes of God. That we should always be careful with the way we deal with our lives that will surely affect others.

Life is a Trust because as we encounter test we should always put our trust to God. There are times when people around us disappoint us. When people around make us sad or disappoint us in some ways or say things that will make our spirit weak, pray to God and look at the bright side of things. Read the promises of God in the Bible. Talk to Christian friends whom you feel you can share your problems and burdens with. God uses some of our friends as in instrument for peace.

Life is truly a TEST that can be overcome if we TRUST in God.

"And he [Abram] believed in (trusted in, relied on, remained
steadfast to) the Lord, and He counted it to him as righteousness
(right standing with God). "Genesis 15:6 AMP
Thoughts for Today
Godly heroes portrayed in the Bible were people of faith–their
foundation was faith in God. Abraham was a hero of faith–in fact,
in Romans 4:16 he is called the father of all who believe.
Abraham trusted in, relied on and remained steadfast to the Lord.
Because of Abraham’s faith, God counted him as righteous. Abraham’s
faith was at the core of the way he lived his life. Because of his
faith he obeyed God … he taught and directed his family to walk in
God’s ways … he looked forward, not back … and he lived life with
an eternal perspective. This week we will look in more depth at
these characteristics and what we can learn from them.
We were saved by faith when we trusted Jesus. And God has called us
to a life of faith. Indeed, in Hebrews 11:6 we learn that without
faith it is impossible to please God. The lives of Abraham and
other heroes of faith were built on a foundation of faith in God.
We are in a better position to believe than those heroes–their
salvation was based on what Christ would do. Our salvation is based
on what he has already done.
Consider this…
Is faith the foundation of your life? Are you trusting in, relying
on and remaining steadfast to the Lord in every area of your life?
Is there an area of your life that is being ruled by worry and fear
instead of faith? Is there some part of your life in which you are
doing your own thing instead of trusting God for his plan? Let us
ask God to help us follow the example of Abraham and other heroes
of faith. Let faith be at the core of our lives, inundating our
thoughts, our attitudes and our actions.

How to Fight Spiritual Warfare

Monday Oct 13, 2008

Just want to share you the 4 items that I have read from Rick Warren How to Fight Spiritual Warfare
sent thru E-mail. We should always be ready since we do not know when will be the end.

1. Acknowledge the adversary. Satan is real (1 Peter 5:8-9).  – Being a Christian is not like lying down in the bed of roses. Adversary is there so that faith can be tested.

2. Accept God-given authority. We as Christian have authority, We all just have to accept it and practice it.  Matthew 28:18-19 says we have all authority in heaven and earth. Then Jesus says, “Therefore go and make disciples …” (NIV). He transfers the authority to you and me. He does that because he’s given us a specific mission (2 Corinthians 5:20).

3. Put on God’s armor. We should always be ready since we don’t know when the enemy will attack. So we have to always put the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:11-17).

4. Aim the artillery. The battlefield for spiritual warfare is primarily in your thought life, in your mind (2 Corinthians 10:4-5). Paul says the weapons God gives us to use demolish arguments – that’s the way people think; they pull down pretension – that’s the way people think.

Great that God uses technology such as blogging so that we can share God’s word thru Internet. God Bless You all.

My Lakay’s Birthday!

Saturday Oct 11, 2008

Today is my loving husband’s birthday! What can I ask for. I can still remember the first time I set my eyes on him and our eyes meet. I cannot explain what i felt at that moment. I still remember that happy moments we shared together and hope to continue our happy married life with God as the center of our relationship. But i knew then that this man is going to play an important part in my life. Truly he did. He made me who I am today with the God’s help. He gives me strength. Not only me, but all of the people around us, our family and friends. He is a person you can always depend on when it comes to problems. He lifts up the spirit of the people around him. He’s always on the positive side of things. Balances every bit of circumstances.

Why all the positive traits. It’s because it’s his BIRTHDAY! :)

Kidding aside, Dexter is a good father to our kids, good friend, good son and a Servant of God.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAKAY!!! I LOVE YOU!!! GOD BLESS YOU IN JESUS NAME.

Movies for Kids

Monday Oct 6, 2008

My favorite movies for kids are Disney Movies. I have watched many of them with my kids. My kids also love Disney Movies that is why they are very excited to see new released movies. The Disney movies that we have watched already are the following:

  1. Toy Story
  2. Finding Nemo
  3. Bug’s Life
  4. Ratatouille
  5. Monsters
  6. Pocahontas
  7. Beauty and the Beast
  8. The Incredible’s
  9. Brother Bear
  10. Tarzan
  11. The Parent Trap
  12. Atlantis

There are still lots of movies that I have always wanted to watch because the Disney Movies have moral lessons in their stories. It is advisable to become a Disney Movie Club Member especially if you really love watching movies for kids. But there are also movies for grown ups like Sister Act, Three Men and a Baby and many more.

Here in K.S.A we tend to watch cartoons in the Disney Channel. Sometimes they feature Disney Movies or Disney films as they call it. My kids would call me and they will tell me that they would love to watch the Disney movies with me. They get very excited and would wait for it to be featured.

Most of all my favorite Disney Movie is While You Were Sleeping. I would watch it over and over and over again. That is why often times my husband would laugh at me because I have watched it many times. I really love the movie.

Disney Movie Club offers Bestsellers, Exclusives, Animated, Live Action, and as I’ve said for Grown ups

Miniel’s Birthday!

Monday Oct 6, 2008

Today is Miniel’s birthday!!!! One of my cute nephews. Son of my brother Noel and sister-in-law Grace. He’s 7 years old now. I wonder when will I see him again. He’s been staying in U.K. a couple of years now. You can view Miniel showing his talent in the youtube. I remember very clearly that this day was the time when Dexter my husband got home from Saudi when we were based in the Philippines and at the same time the day that Grace delivered a baby and this baby is Emmanuel Craig Huliganga. And this is also the time I got pregnant and delivered my second baby Kyle after nine months.

We call him Miniel because he is a small Noel, his father. Just like Mini Noel. Isn’t it cute. Now he is going to have a baby brother or sister because his mother Grace is pregnant at the moment. I hope to have a niece that looks like Miniel.

We love you Miniel! God Bless you in Jesus Mighty Name!
